The challenge
Water pumps with abrupt starts and high consumption, plus a makeshift cistern-level check (a rope to measure). The complex ran out of water during unexpected supply cuts.
Variable-frequency + PLC pressure control and remote cistern monitoring with automatic alerts for a residential complex.

Water pumps with abrupt starts and high consumption, plus a makeshift cistern-level check (a rope to measure). The complex ran out of water during unexpected supply cuts.
We deployed a variable-frequency drive governed by a PLC that adjusts pressure in real time to demand, avoiding abrupt starts and saving energy. An HMI panel operates main and backup pumps, shows pressure and schedules cycles. A pressure transducer, combined with level calculations, feeds an Internet monitoring system (Savix) that notifies management and the water-truck supplier —with automatic invoicing— when the cistern drops below threshold.
Continuous supply, lower pump energy use and an end to empty-cistern outages: better quality of life for residents.
